Adventia Pharma, a pharmacist noted for its innovation work in the field of specialized clinical nutrition, begins the year 2020 reaching a new agreement with the Picualia cooperative company, considered as one of the companies that has revolutionized the olive oil sector in recent years.

Adventia Pharma was the first laboratory that incorporated EVOO into clinical nutrition diets and after the agreement announced today in Bailén (Jaén) between Both companies, Picualia has become the only supplier of extra virgin olive oil in the laboratory, which renews its commitment to the incorporation of extra virgin olive oil (EVOO) in all of its clinical nutrition diets.

Research carried out within the framework of the PREDIMED (Mediterranean Diet Prevention) projects has broadly demonstrated the health benefits of EVOO. In this sense, Dr. Juan Bautista Molina Soria, a doctor from the universities of Granada and the Balearic Islands, a specialist in Hospital Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics, and expert knowledge of the properties of EVOO as well as the demanding needs of clinical nutrition , has witnessed the presentation of this agreement concluded today in Bailén.
 
Dr. Molina Soria has highlighted the contribution of EVOO to clinical nutrition diets “as the main source of lipids, being also rich in monounsaturated fats that help control LDL cholesterol and reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease, as well as polyphenols and natural antioxidants with anti-inflammatory properties that reduce the risk for arteriosclerosis. ”
 
Other beneficial effects recognized in AVOE are related to neurodegenerative diseases and anticancer effects.
With more than 50 national and international awards, Picualia also has the strictest agri-food certification standards and a quality system certified by the BRC (British Retail Council) and IFS (Industrial Food Standard).
 
The President of Picualia, Gabriel J.
